YOUTH TRANSITION WORKERS
Two (2) Full-time Positions in Timmins

As a member of the Child Care team, the primary responsibilities will be to provide intensive and proactive planning for youth receiving services from the Agency. The successful candidate will provide individual and group services, crisis intervention, one-to-one support and will assist Child Care workers with the development and implementation of plans of care for youth transitioning to independence. The successful candidate will also provide supports to improve the educational outcomes for children and youth.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS):
• An MSW or BSW is preferred (a College Diploma in Social Services may be considered along with other relevant university degrees or diplomas deemed suitable by the Executive Director)
• Must be able to work flexible hours to meet client and program needs
• Demonstrated knowledge of child development, age appropriate behaviour, facilitating life skills and employment readiness programming and issues facing youth who are transitioning to independence
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Bilingualism (English/French) is required for one position and an asset for the other position
• Must have a valid driver’s license and use of own vehicle
