Crisis Services

The Crisis Services will respond to children, youth and families who are at risk of harm resulting from suicidal ideation, self-injurious behaviours, or homicidal ideation that is manifested in a threat or act of bodily harm to others.

The Crisis Services is initiated upon referral through North Eastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services (NEOFACS), Police Services or local hospitals.

It is responsive to children and youth up to eighteen (18) years of age who reside in the Districts of Cochrane and Timiskaming.

The service includes 24-hour telephone response, risk assessment, and supports up to and including hospitalization, where required, and linkage to appropriate follow-up services and treatment plan.

Crisis services are offered seven (7) days per week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and can be accessed after hours through the NEOFACS Emergency After Hours Service.
