It's Foster Family Appreciation Week! We are grateful for the invaluable contributions of our foster families. We acknowledge the important work that foster families do in their communities to support the safety and well-being of children and youth. Caring for children is our collective responsibility.
Foster caregivers are a key part of the team that supports children and youth in the child welfare system, including by facilitating pathways to lifelong connections with family and community for the young people in their homes.
We are currently accepting applications for new foster families across our region. Foster caregivers are people who want to parent. They are single people and couples and are people from many different religious and cultural backgrounds.
