When parents separate or divorce, difficulties sometimes arise between the parents at the time the children are exchanged for a visit and/or there may be concerns about the visits themselves. The Supervised Access Program (SAP) offers separated or divorced families a way to deal with some of these difficulties.
Children and their parents involved in custody and access disputes can utilize safe, neutral, and child-focused settings where visits and exchanges can take place under the supervision of trained staff and volunteers.
Children, their parents and/or family members can preserve or reconstruct caring relationships through the use of our service.
Access to services is through a self-referral or through the court process. Voluntary referrals may be appropriate when both parties consent to the service being used.
Each adult participant must complete an intake interview and agree to follow the policies and procedures before the service commences.
Supervised Access Services is a program offered by North Eastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services (NEOFACS) and funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services.

Access and Exchange Schedules
Court Orders
To make the process for supervised access easier for clients, please ensure that the Court Order does not stipulate specific times for visits/exchanges. The Supervised Access Centre schedules visits/exchanges based on availability. If the Court Order is too specific, we will have to place clients on a waiting list for an undetermined amount of time.
Cancellations
If you have to cancel a meeting or a visit/exchange, please contact the Supervised Access Program Coordinator Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm by phone at:
