Join Us for Flora’s Walk for Brighter Futures: Supporting Perinatal Mental Health | May 2026

Join us during the month of May for local Flora's Walk for Perinatal Mental Health fundraisers hosted by our Brighter Futures program, as part of our mental health week activities!

This annual event is a meaningful initiative that raises awareness and support for perinatal mental health, while strengthening connections among families, caregivers, and service providers across our region.

Flora’s Walk is more than a walk—it’s a movement. Together, we can:

  • Increase awareness of maternal and perinatal mental health.
  • Foster connection among families, caregivers, and community supports.
  • Collaborate on activities that celebrate hope, healing, and togetherness.

Now in our third year of coordinating this event at NEOFACS through our Brighter Futures program, our team remains deeply committed to promoting healthy beginnings and supporting parents and caregivers of children aged 0-6 through strong, community-driven partnerships that make a lasting impact.

As a multi-service agency, we will also be showcasing the various programs and services that NEOFACS offers to support the mental health and well-being of children and youth aged 0-17 and their families. These include our Prevention Services and our Child and Youth Mental Health Services, which provide early learning and development opportunities, group sessions, crisis support, counselling and therapy services, and much more.

Local Community Events

We are hosting community walks in May to raise mental health awareness, share valuable resources, and provide fun activities for kids!

Stay tuned for the dates and locations for the various events in Timmins, Kapuskasing, Kirkland Lake, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, Matheson, Englehart and North Cobalt.

Together, we can make a difference in our region!

Join us!

We invite you to join us in making this year’s walk the most meaningful and impactful yet. Whether by sharing information with your networks, participating in your local walk, or offering sponsorship, your support is vital in helping spread compassion and awareness throughout Northeastern Ontario.

As part of this initiative, we will be raising funds for local perinatal mental health programming. If you would like to contribute or help spread the word, you can visit and share our Team’s fundraising page here: http://www.canadahelps.org/me/6q7kmSt5

We look forward to engaging with our communities again in May as we continue to promote maternal and infant mental health and ensure that families know they are never alone!
