Each individual volunteer contribution, big or small, creates momentum and has the power to influence and inspire, joining a wave of positive change. 

During National Volunteer Week 2025, we acknowledge and say THANK YOU for the service and dedication of all our amazing volunteers. Their contributions help us to fulfill our mission of working together for the well-being and safety of children, youth, and families.

We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated volunteers who go above and beyond to support our community. Throughout the year, they provide support to our programs by assisting our hardworking employees. Without their invaluable contributions, much of what we do would simply not be possible!

On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, we are hosting a special recognition event to celebrate and acknowledge the incredible contributions of our volunteers!

  • Volunteer Drivers

    • A huge thank you to our amazing 10 Volunteer Drivers! They provide essential local and out-of-district transportation for children and youth to attend visits with family, medical appointments, cultural and spiritual celebrations, and recreational activities. Our volunteers complete each assignment with unwavering pride and patience.

  • Special Friends and Tutors/Mentors

    • A huge thank you to our amazing 14 volunteers who are special friends and tutors/mentors! The sharing of time, skills, empathy, and creativity is vital to the inclusivity, strength, and well-being of our communities. Our volunteers are making positive waves in the lives of children and youth!

  • Campaign Support and Youth Volunteers

    • A huge thank you to our amazing Campaign Support and Youth Volunteers! They help with agency events and initiatives with the North Eastern Ontario Children's Foundation that support our clients, such as the Community Angel and Back to School campaigns. Duties include sorting donations and promoting our services in the community. Their contributions in all our communities help us to fulfill our mission of working together for the well-being and safety of children, youth, and families.

  • Child Minding Volunteers

    • A huge thank you to our amazing 3 Child Minding volunteers! They provide essential support to parents and caregivers, enhancing their ability to participate fully during EarlyON and Brighter Futures workshops. They assist with child minding, support activities like craft preparation and clean-up, and help maintain a safe and clean environment.

We are truly fortunate to have such a dedicated and amazing group of volunteers. Like our volunteers, each wave is unique and brings something vibrant and new to the ecosystem. And, together, we create ripples of change.
